The Un-Resolutions

No complaints about the beginning of 2016 from this girl. New year, new job—I’ve got to say, life is good.

Hope it’s good for you all, too.

I’ll be honest, I don’t actually have those flowers right now. (I wish.) That picture is from a few months ago. However, I was searching for an image, and the pretty flowers, the happy colors, the bright, peaceful light…it’s probably the closest I could come to 2016 in photo form.

Well, if I had actually taken any good photos these last few days, I guess that could be closer. But, give me a break, I’ve been busy with my new job.

So just enjoy the pretty flowers, okay? Okay, cool.

I didn’t really make any resolutions. Yeah, I’d like to eat healthier and such, do some cool things, be a better person. But I can’t remember the last resolution I kept. So there’s that.

To really get the year off on the right foot and feeling good about myself then, here are some “resolutions” I know I can keep. How’s that for accomplishment?

In 2016, I will…

  • read some great books
  • try some yummy new drinks
  • laugh until my stomach hurts with Aly
  • fall asleep watching movies with my family
  • sing along at the top of my lungs to a song on repeat in the car

I could probably also “resolve” to write all my blog posts at the last minute (because that’s probably not going to change), but I always hope to get better at that. At least I try. I hope you can enjoy the reading as much as I enjoy the writing.
